Great Crested Grebe - Toppdykker - Podiceps cristatus

Great Crested Grebe are something of a rarity in Øygarden, though this is partly due to observer coverage. As a winter species this bird turns up at a time when relatively few birders cover the area and as such there are barely even a handful of records for the area. A Great crested Grebe will invariably provoke something of a "twitch" among county year listers
