This is the first flight ID guide to raptors I bought - inspired by visits to Falsterbo. It may well be something of a collectors item these days

Black Kite are a widespread species in Europe and the rest of the world. They are often scavengers but are also adept at fishing and are often seen snatching fish from close to the surface both in freshwater and the sea.
