Sanderling - Sandløper - Calidris alba

This species is seen at Stag Rocks in varying numbers, other longer stretches of sandy beach in the immediate vicinity tend to hold more of this species. In addtion to wintering birds the area is visited in small numbers by Sanderling from other populations on their spring and autumn migrations.

The record count during the period I counted waders there is 45 individuals on 02 December 1986.
