Armenian Gull - Armenermåke - Larus armenicus
Armenisktrut - Armeense meeuw - Goéland d'Arménie

Armenian Gull is one of the commonest gulls to be seen in  Israel and is quite a distinctive bird even for non larophiles. The stubby beak and big dark eye are perhaps the most striking features. Check out the superb Israel gull ID presentations below - something I found very helpful when going through the photographs I took in Ashdod harbour.
