Bar-tailed
Godwit are present in insignificant numbers at Stag Rocks with
usually less
than 10 present; they can be present at almost any time of year,
although have not been recorded during April. The species is A LOT more
numerous at Budle Bay and the mudflats at Holy Island. There is some
evidence that the species may be using the beaches at Bamburgh more in
recent years.
The record count at Stag Rocks is 20
individuals on 17 January 2003.
