Collared
Dove, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, 30 October 2007
Collared
Dove are one of the two commonest species around the resorts in
Lanzarote
- a far cry from their scarce (a few records per year) migrant status
in Øygarden, Norway.
Surprisingly this species is quite regular offshore in late spring /
early summer - it seems that this species "explores" for new areas at
this time.
