Escribano Nival
One of my
favourite
passerines this hardy species can be seen regularly on both spring and
autumn migration in Øygarden and is also occasional in
winter. Gullfjell is the nearest locality to Bergen where this species
can be found during the breeding season - it is also a regular late
autumn migrant here.

Here eating a worm - perhaps unusual food for this species but there
were more worms than seeds in my driveway in March!

Having forgotten my DSLR in the car I had "only" a Nikon Coolpix
superzoom camera with me - the results show how good such cameras are
these days.
