Siskin
are a common migrant and sometimes a common breeder too in
Øygarden. Often difficult to photograph for most of the year
these birds were pretty confiding as they fed in my garden alongside
Redpolls and other garden visitors.

Most Siskin leave Norway in most winters, this one was probably trying
to return when it landed onboard an offshore construction vessel on the
Dogger Bank
