European Goldfinch - Stillits - Carduelis carduelis
Steglits - Stillits - Tikli

Goldfinch used to be quite a scarce species in Øygarden but is now a regular migrant (mostly in the late autumn) and winter visitor. In 2020 there were even singing birds present in the breeding season. Up to around the age of around seven or eight this was my favourite bird - it is still special but no longer top of the list:)

They are rather common in the Oslo area and can be seen all year round in a variety of habitats.
