Black-eared Wheatear - Middelhavssteinskvett - Oenanthe hispanica

A few pairs of Black-eared Wheatear were present along the cliffs west of the town of Georgioupolis, Crete. Although the males were present and singing they were rather more flighty and distant than this female who was very persistent in the defence of her nest / territory.
