Whimbrel
are a passage migrant only at Stag Rocks with
usually less
than 5 present; they are regualr in the spring from the end of April
and throughout May. The return migration brings birds to Stag Rocks
from mid July onwards, although the majority are noted in
August. .
The record count during the period I counted waders there is 11 individuals on 23 July 1990.
