Teal
have a similar pattern of occurrence to Eurasian Wigeon at
Skogsøy - in other words rarely numerous. In
spring they start passing in early April and continue into May; in
autumn they head south between early September and mid October. This
species is often seen under less than ideal migration conditions during
periods of strong winds and rain. This species probably breeds in the area.
The blue line shows number of visits, the orange one the number of
visits when Teal have been recorded and the green one shows the
maximum
numbers I have recorded in any three day period.
