Storm Petrel are rarely seen during normal seawatching, although they
are more regular than the graph below would suggest as unidentified
petrels, probably of this species, have been noted on a number of
occasions. Skogsøy, however, has been used a ringing
locality for this species and can be caught regularly here when lured
in using playback. August is the best month for this activity.
