European Storm Petrel are rarely seen during normal seawatching, although they are more regular than the graph below would suggest as unidentified petrels, probably of this species, have been noted on a number of occasions. Skogsøy, however, has been used a ringing locality for this species and can be caught regularly here when lured in using playback. August is the best month for this activity.
