Sooty
Shearwater is a regular visitor in small numbers, as with Northern
Fulmar I have yet to get lucky with this species at Skogsøy and
hit big numbers. Anytime after the end of July can produce Sooties,
although September is probably the best month.
This species is probably more regular than the diagram below suggests;
my visits tend to be random rather than targeting "good" weather.
The blue line shows number of visits, the orange one the number of
visits when Sooties have been recorded and the green one shows the
total involved.
