Greater
Scaup are a scarce but reasonably regular spring migrant at
Skogsøy with a very clear peak in the first half of May; the
species is also an occasional winter visitor in the sheltered bays. For
some reason I have yet to record this species in autumn at
Skogsøy.
Utsira
has very few spring records but more regular autumn records.
The
blue line shows number of visits, the orange one the number of
visits when Scaup have been recorded and the green one shows the
maximum
numbers I have recorded in any three day period.
