Atlantic Puffin - Lunde - Fratercula arctica
Lunnefågel - Lunde - Lunni - Macareux moine

Atlantic Puffin are very much a "summer" bird and are a species I have not recorded at Skogsøy (and only occasionally in Øygarden) during December and January.   Large numbers can be recorded during May - up to 1000 on occasion.

Occurrence pattern and numbers are similar to those at Utsira, although the maximum count at Skogsøy is much higher and the species can be seen a little earlier in the season at Skogsøy..

The blue line shows number of visits, the orange one the number of visits when Puffin have been recorded and the green one (numbers on right hand axis) shows the maximum numbers I have recorded in any three day period.
