Arctic Tern is the commonest species of tern observed at Skogsøy and the largest numbers are recorded during the spring; often in the second half of May. The species is seen regualry throughout the summer and well into September; occasional birds are seen into early October. 

The occurence pattern for this species seems very similar to that of Utsira.
