Eagle are
THE bird of Øygarden where they can be seen all year round
but are especially obvious during the winter months. Their appearance
invariably scares any gulls, geese or other wildfowl into a mad panic.
At least in Øygarden these birds seem to be quite
"lazy"
and wherever possible either eat things that are already dead or steal
food from others. Otter are are favourite victim and are often robbed
by the eagles when they bring up larger prey onto the shore. I have
also seen them harassing Gannets like a skua and taking food from
Peregrines!
