Red-throated Diver are a common sight on migration in Øygarden but winter records are far less normal so the bird pictured below was a lucky find. For more details of this species migration in the area see this page.

The picture was taken in a very shady area and there was no way of using anything other that ISO 800. The joys of winter photography....
