Starting digiscoping early - a nine year olds first attempt

During an attempt to photograph the "problem Redpoll" I had in my garden work called on the phone and I wandered off to deal with it. My nine year old daughter asked if she could borrow the camera and telescope and went off into the garden.

On downloading later that evening I found these pictures on the camera. She had set up, focused and done everything herself. Finding a spot where lots of birds were visiting and staying put on that was a good idea too. I'll have to ask her how she got the notoriously difficult autofocus to work...

If she managed this on her first attempt at nine then it looks like there'll be some serious competition in the near future. At least I'll know where to find my scope and camera.....
