Rainbow Lorikeet - Regnbuelori - Trichoglossus haematodus
Regnbågslorikit - Bjerglori - sateenkaariluri - Regenbooglori - Allfarblori - Tricogloso de Pecho Rojo - Loriquet à tête bleue

Australia is blessed with some really gaudy and colourful birds - the Rainbow Lorikeet is one of these. An absolute stunner - no wonder people want to keep them as cagebirds.

Just amazingly colourful! This species is also very loud, gathers in flocks and is therefore VERY obvious
King's Park, Perth, West Australia, September 2012

I used the Slater guide to identify the birds I saw in Australia. I also had "The complete guide to finding the Birds of Australia" with me but as usual did not find the time to go anywhere specific to do any birding.
